Our Approach to Sustainability
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group, Scoot has been participating in the SIA Group’s annual sustainability reporting programme. Additionally, we’ve taken on efforts ranging from regular fleet renewal to ensure we are operating a fleet of young and modern aircraft that are fuel-efficient, adopting touchless digital solutions to reduce paper consumption and weight onboard the aircraft, and participating in the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) programme to offset our emissions. Our customers can also offset their own carbon footprint via the Singapore Airlines Group Carbon Offset Programme.
At Scoot, we believe that sustainability is a journey, not just targets and numbers, and we recognise that our customers, employees, suppliers, and community are concerned not only about our business, but also how we do business. We continue our journey with a focus on the Environmental, Social and Governance pillars.
As a part of the SIA Group, Scoot supports the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a priority on SDGs 8, 12 and 13.
