Airport check-in

Scoot’s check-in counters open 3 hours before scheduled departure for B787 flights, and 2.5 hours before scheduled departure for A320, A321 and E190-E2 flights. They close 60 minutes before scheduled departure with no exceptions.

All guests are strongly advised to arrive at the airport at least 120 minutes before departure so you may complete check-in procedures on time.

Scoot's check-in counters at Singapore Changi Airport are located at Terminal 1. Please check the Flight Information Display System for your flight and check-in row.

Eligibility for Web and Mobile Check-in

Bookings that do not include:
  • Multi-city booking
  • Guests who require special assistance(e.g. wheelchairs, extra seats, visual or hearing impairments, etc.)
  • Journeys with connecting flights on Scoot's Partner Airlines
  • Standby or staff duty travel bookings
  • Guests who have purchased MaxYourSpace
  • Guests who are awaiting confirmation of their MaxYourSpace or Bid for ScootPlus requests
  • Pregnant guests
  • Guests travelling with infants

 

Web Check-in

Long lines… ain’t nobody got time for that! You can now check-in online for Scoot flights before arriving at the airport. Web check-in is available from 48 hours to 1.5 hour before flight departure. For eligible flights*, you can opt to download and print your boarding pass at home or have it on your phone as a digital boarding pass!

If you hold an e-ticket number starting with 618 or 668, and your flights depart from and return to the same origin (for example, Singapore to Bangkok outbound and Bangkok to Singapore inbound only), you may be eligible for web check-in for Scoot flights.

What's more, with the Scoot-to-Gate service, you can skip the counters and head straight to departure immigration (if no document checks are required, of course).  Find out more below.

Web Check-in: 7 Simple Steps
  1. Go to checkin.flyscoot.com. Enter your booking reference and last name for the flight you are checking in. Your booking reference can be found in your booking confirmation email or flight itinerary.
  2. Pop in your passenger information, as required.
  3. Pay attention to the baggage restrictions and prohibited and dangerous goods information.
  4. Confirm and complete the web check-in process!
  5. For eligible flights*, you can opt to download and print your boarding pass at home or have it on your phone as a digital boarding pass!
  6. Prepare any travel documents you’ll need, pack your bags and get outta here!
* Find out if web check-in (WCI) and Scoot-to-Gate are available at your departure airport. Do note that due to regulatory requirements for document checks, Scoot-to-Gate may not be available to travelers.

Self-service kiosk check-in

Self-Service Kiosk Check-in is currently available in Singapore (SIN), Bangkok (BKK) and Tokyo Narita (NRT) . Guests with checked baggage may also print their baggage tags at the Self-Service Kiosk and drop off their bags at the Bag Drop counters.

Guests who require special assistance, or are travelling to destinations that require a VISA are not eligible for Kiosk Check-in. 

  • For flights departing from Singapore (SIN), Self-Service Kiosk Check-in for Scoot is available at Changi Airport (Terminal 1) from 18hrs to 65mins to flight departure.
  • For flights departing from Bangkok (BKK) and Tokyo Narita (NRT), Self-Service Kiosk Check-in for Scoot is available from 4hrs to 65mins to flight departure for guests travelling to Singapore (SIN) or Taipei (TPE) only. Guests with connecting flights from Singapore will be required to check-in at the Airport Check-in Counters.
BAG drop
  • For flights departing from Singapore (SIN), guests who have checked in online or through the Self-Service Kiosk, may drop off their checked baggage at the Automated Bag Drop counters located at Singapore Changi Airport (Terminal 1) from 18hrs to 65mins to flight departure. Guests are required to print their baggage tag(s) at the Self-Service Kiosks and attach the baggage tag(s) to their checked baggage before dropping them off at the Bag Drop counters.
  • For flights departing from Bangkok (BKK), guests who have checked in online or through the Self-Service Kiosk, may drop off their checked baggage at the Automated Bag Drop counters 4hrs to 65mins to flight departure. Guests are required to print their baggage tag(s) at the Self-Service Kiosks and attach the baggage tag(s) to their checked baggage before dropping them off at the Bag Drop counters.
  • For flights departing from all other cities, guests who have checked in online or through the Self-Service Kiosk, may drop off their checked baggage at the Airport Check-in Counters. Airport Check-in Counters close 60 minutes before scheduled departure with no exceptions.

Please have your printed boarding passes and any necessary documents ready!

Boarding gate opens 60 minutes before departure and closes 20 minutes before departure. If you are not there in time, you won’t be able to climb aboard the flight. So no stopping to smell the roses!
