Changi Airport is a great place to connect. Here are some tips to make it even easier!
We recommend at least 2 hours. If you haven’t purchased Scoot-Thru* you’ll need to clear arrival immigration and collect any checked baggage, then proceed to the terminal of your connecting airline to check-in for your next flight before they close their check in desks. Once you’ve got your new boarding pass, you’ll have to clear departure immigration to board your flight. Scoot-Thru* means you get to stay in the transit area between flights, saving you time. Do consider purchasing it with your booking or at the transfer desk at Transfer Area E, Terminal 2, upon your arrival in Singapore.
*Please note that Scoot-Thru is temporarily unavailable for purchase for all interline journeys including sectors operated by Singapore Airlines or SilkAir.
All Scoot & Tiger flights operate from Terminal 2. If you’re connecting to other airlines, note that Changi airport has 3 terminals and it takes at least 10 minutes to travel between them. You can check which terminal other airlines operate from here.
Apart from knowing which Terminal to go to, you need to know how to get there! Check out this super helpful interactive map of Changi Airport to plan for your transit.
Because you’re passing through Arrival Immigration, you’ll need to have valid documentation to enter Singapore, including a visa (depending on which nation’s passport you’re travelling). Please note that if you do not have the necessary documentation to enter Singapore, you will not be able to board your flight.
To avoid hunger, boredom or restlessness, pre-purchase food and drink, inflight entertainment and sleep essentials on your Scoot flight. Simply go to Scoot’s Manage My Booking. To get the great products that may be offered by our interline partners, check out their individual pages on FlyScoot.com which you can access here.
Don’t get caught by surprise. Even when you’ve bought two connecting flights on a single fare, you may need to pay separate excess baggage fees for each flight. Check out Scoot’s baggage rates, and use Scoot's Manage My Booking feature to add your extra kilos. For rates offered by our interline partners, check out their individual pages on FlyScoot.com which you can access here.
Neither Scoot nor our interline partners will be responsible for any expenses you incur as a result of a missed connection. So to guarantee your trip goes smoothly, always ensure that you have ScootProtect or other travel insurance to cover your entire journey.
